Since 1891 Nain Maggie has lived in October0 the 16th Valley. Nain Maggie links the past and present. Born in 1878 and died in 1981, 103 years old.

Her enthusiastic spirit and fond memories of her traditional Welsh life have now been passed on to her children.

Especially her tasty recipes from the old Colony that she passed on to her daughter Lilian.

This is how the first tea house of Trevelin started. The tradition is kept alive by Nain Maggie who still uses the finest ingredients.

Lucy lived with her 'Nain' Maggie for ten years during her adolescence. During this time, she learnt how to cook these magical recipes. Her mother Lilian started the family interest, and now with assistance from Lilian's husband, Bocha, the Tea house began.

Today, Lucys' children are responsible for keeping the tradition alive.
